Local High School Volleyball Team Makes History
The Oakland-Craig Knights volleyball team has made history by advancing to the state tournament for the first time in school history. The team, led by coach Amy Moore, has been dominant all season, winning 20 of their 22 matches. They are currently ranked 5th in the state in Class C1.
A Talented Roster
The Knights are led by a talented roster of players, including seniors Emily Dinslage, Kennedy Johnson, and Maddie Uhing. Dinslage is a 6'0" middle blocker who has committed to play at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln. She is a force at the net, leading the team in blocks and kills.
Johnson is a 5'10" outside hitter who is second on the team in kills. She is a dynamic player who can score from anywhere on the court.
Uhing is a 5'8" setter who runs the Knights' offense. She is a talented passer and setter who has helped the team to a .275 hitting percentage.
Nebraska Volleyball Dynasty
Nebraska is a volleyball powerhouse, with the University of Nebraska-Lincoln winning five national championships. The state of Nebraska has produced some of the best volleyball players in the country, including Jordan Larson, Sarah Pavan, and Kelsey Robinson.
