Darius Morris, a former NBA point guard who played for the Los Angeles Lakers, Philadelphia 76ers, and Brooklyn Nets, has passed away at the age of 33. The cause of death has not yet been released.
Morris was a four-year starter at the University of Michigan, where he averaged 14.8 points and 5.1 assists per game. He was drafted by the Lakers in the second round of the 2011 NBA Draft.
Morris played in 132 NBA games over four seasons, averaging 3.6 points and 2.5 assists per game. He started one playoff game for the Lakers in 2012.
After his NBA career, Morris played overseas in China and the Philippines. He last played for the San Miguel Beermen in the Philippines in 2022.
